Terms of Service

Version v1.1 · Effective 2026-05-15

1. Definitions

  • Maxfound AI ("we", "us") refers to the AI Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) SaaS platform provided at maxfound.ai.
  • User ("you") refers to any individual, legal entity, or organization that uses the service via a registered account.
  • Core services include, but are not limited to: AI visibility monitoring, AEO rewriting, knowledge base, content studio, AutoMedia distribution, AI support, API access, and Webhook integrations.

2. Account Registration and Verification

  • Register with a valid email or phone number; do not impersonate others.
  • Growth tier and above may require identity verification for business compliance.
  • You are responsible for account security; we are not liable for passwords or API keys you disclose.
  • We temporarily lock accounts and send an email alert when we detect anomalous logins.

3. Your Obligations

  • Use the service lawfully; do not use it for illegal, infringing, or harmful content.
  • Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or otherwise abuse resources of the service.
  • Do not use our API for black-hat GEO (prompt injection, hidden text, cloaking, etc.; see our White-Hat Commitment).
  • Do not resell our output as a "guaranteed GEO ranking" — we provide tools and make no guarantee of sales results.
  • Do not distribute spam, phishing links, or malware on our platform.

4. Our Service Commitments

  • Core API 99.9% monthly uptime SLA (excluding scheduled maintenance and force majeure).
  • Scheduled maintenance is announced 7 days in advance by email and dashboard notice.
  • Your tier is provisioned within 5 minutes of a successful payment.
  • Customer-success response SLA: Starter email 48h / Growth email 24h + dedicated CSM / Enterprise priority 4h.
  • Live status is available at /status.

5. AI-Generated Content and Third-Party Publishing

  • [Permitted use] The service is intended for brands to improve the AI visibility of their own brand assets. It must not be used to bulk-publish unverified or first-hand-untested content on any third-party platform (e.g. Reddit, Quora, social media).
  • [Publishing responsibility] When you publish output from the service to any third-party platform, you must: (a) verify and personally test the claims; (b) comply with that platform's community rules; and (c) clearly label it as "AI-assisted". You bear all resulting legal responsibility.
  • [Prohibited] Do not use the service to generate fake reviews, fabricated experiences, or spun content at scale, or for unfair competition, false advertising, or commercial disparagement.
  • [Platform rules] Content you publish on third-party platforms must comply with those platforms' rules. Maxfound AI bears no responsibility for your violations of third-party platform rules. Any action a platform takes against your account (rate-limiting, bans, litigation) is unrelated to this service.
  • [Content labelling] You must clearly label AI-generated content as "AI-assisted" in accordance with applicable AI-content disclosure requirements. See /ai-content-disclaimer for details.

6. Prohibited Conduct

  • Do not use the service for large-scale prompt injection intended to poison LLM training data.
  • Do not use our LLM quota for non-GEO purposes (e.g. generating pornographic, violent, or otherwise prohibited content).
  • Do not scrape, resell, or redistribute our methodology templates (the 27 GEO templates, value pyramid, AARRR-G, etc., which are Maxfound AI intellectual property).
  • Do not register multiple accounts to bypass free-tier quotas; we reserve the right to de-duplicate by IP and device fingerprint.
  • On detection of any violation, we may immediately freeze the account without refund and reserve the right to pursue legal remedies.

7. Billing

  • Monthly or annual billing; annual discounts are shown on /pricing.
  • Payment methods: card (via Stripe) and bank transfer (Enterprise).
  • Subscriptions renew automatically; you can turn this off anytime in /dashboard/settings.
  • We send a reminder by email 7 days before the next charge.
  • Upgrades take effect immediately with a prorated charge; downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.
  • Refund terms are detailed at /legal/refund.

8. Intellectual Property

  • Your content is yours: the brand information, keywords, and source content you input — and the AEO rewrite output — remain your property.
  • Our platform is ours: the code, UI design, organization of the 27 templates, and internal algorithms.
  • Proprietary methodology: we are licensed to use our proprietary 27-template methodology, which merchants may use on their own websites.
  • Princeton KDD 2024 paper: the PAWC formula comes from a published paper; we provide the engineering implementation.
  • Data generated while you use the service is used only in aggregated, de-identified form for industry research, never exposing any individual customer.

9. Disclaimers

  • The service does not guarantee improved sales results — improved GEO visibility is not the same as increased sales.
  • AI output is subject to the limitations of the underlying LLMs and may contain factual errors or hallucinations; you must verify it yourself.
  • The availability of third-party LLM providers (e.g. ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) is outside our control; we provide fallbacks but cannot guarantee 100% availability.
  • The service does not constitute legal, financial, medical, or investment advice.
  • We are not responsible for the content quality or availability of external links or third-party integrations.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any direct or indirect loss arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the fees you actually paid us in the preceding 12 months. We are not liable for events of force majeure (earthquake, war, government order, or large-scale network failure).

11. Termination and Suspension

  • You may close your account at any time (/dashboard/settings → Data & Privacy → Close account).
  • Within a 30-day grace period after closure, you can reverse it by contacting hi@maxfound.ai.
  • We may suspend or terminate the service if you breach these terms, are more than 30 days overdue on payment, or abuse the service.
  • For serious violations (black-hat use or abuse): immediate termination with no refund of fees paid.
  • For ordinary termination: 30 days' written notice.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as our business or the law changes. For material changes (expanded obligations or price increases), we will give 30 days' notice via email and a dashboard banner. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the new version. Past versions are archived at /changelog.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

  • These terms are governed by the governing law specified for your contracting entity.
  • Any dispute arising under these terms shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
  • If negotiation fails, the dispute shall be submitted to binding arbitration before the agreed arbitral institution and seat.
  • The arbitral award is final and binding on both parties.
  • Where you use third-party AI models, that usage is also subject to the respective provider's terms of service.
